Change
A great many things have changed since the early days of book publishing. Yet, the Traditional Publishing world hasn’t altered its activities to meet the needs of the modern-day reader, nor the modern-day author. This includes the ever-important promotion, marketing and sales strategies; most of which have been nonexistent from its inception, and the way they deal with their author-clients and the terms they offer them.
Responsibility
The perspective has always been, and thus the definition of “publishing” that can be found in any dictionary, ‘to print and distribute on a large scale’. For what ever reason, the all-important aspect of sales does not exist for publishers to any practical degree. In our opinion, the Traditional Publisher has not taken enough responsibility for the success of their authors’ books.
It used to be that aspiring authors had no other choice but to accept one-sided “deals” as first-time book authors. With the improvements in technology and the existence of the Internet, this is no longer the case. In fact, in many cases, Traditional Publishing has become obsolete, having more drawbacks than advantages.

Prominent Books, LLC is not your typical publisher. We defy traditional labels, neither a standard publisher nor a vanity press. Our mission is to amplify unique voices and empower authors, offering a rare, collaborative publishing experience you won’t find elsewhere.
Team Work
At Prominent Books, we believe that the author-publisher connection should be a team, not a distant struggle between entities. Why publishers don’t directly help their authors succeed with their books is a question that doesn’t require an answer, because that answer would do nothing to resolve this dilemma.
Commitment
What does resolve this are things like commitment and fairness between an author and its publisher. The greatest missing ingredient, we feel, has been RESPONSIBILITY. Without it, nothing can be accomplished of any significance or on a constant basis. With responsibility anything can be achieved!
Commitment
No one can argue the fact that authors are the most enthusiastic people walking the face of the earth. And we know that most authors, including you, would pull up their bootstraps and get going…IF they only had a method to achieve their goals.
We believe strongly that the percentages of successful books has been so poor since time immemorial because of the “no responsibility” approach made by old school publishers. The tactic has been to seek out authors in volume, in hopes of a few that “somehow” make it on their own. This is a somewhat apathetic approach. Relying on a “hit or miss” is something we at Prominent Books would never live by.
Involvement
Prominent Books works directly with their authors. We offer assistance, guidance, encouragement…and WE get involved in the game of selling books too.
We have book marketing specialists for the 21st century. And much of what we do is in the most populated place ever existing in mankind’s history – the Internet.
Equality
Our approach is one of equality – “Equitable Publishing,” you could call it. In all facets from costs to marketing to sales, we share the weight as well as the benefits with our authors.
